20th ANIDIS Conference 2025 – The Earthquake Engineering in Italy
Special Session SS08 – Advancements in OpenSees applications for Earthquake Engineering
Date: September 15-18, 2025
Location: Assisi, Italy
Overview
The Special Session on Advancements in OpenSees Applications for Earthquake Engineering at the XX ANIDIS Conference 2025 will showcase the latest developments and innovative applications of OpenSees in structural and geotechnical earthquake engineering. As a widely adopted open-source framework, OpenSees provides researchers and engineers with a powerful toolset for modeling and analyzing complex nonlinear behaviors under seismic actions.
This session aims to bring together experts from academia and industry to discuss recent advancements in numerical modeling, high-performance computing, and performance-based seismic design, as well as new developments in material models, elements, and algorithms. Through case studies and methodological innovations, the session will highlight OpenSees’ role in addressing key challenges in seismic risk assessment and resilient infrastructure design.
Join us to engage with a dynamic community of researchers, developers, and practitioners contributing to the ongoing evolution of OpenSees in earthquake engineering.
